Meet the Owner
Chase Hamstra
Hi, I'm Chase, the owner and operator of XCL (Excavation • Construction • Landscape). I’ve spent years working hands-on in this field, and after earning my Heavy Equipment Operator certification from Conestoga College, I decided to build a business of my own.
I believe in working hard, being honest, and doing the job right the first time. Whether it’s grading, digging, or a full property transformation, I take pride in the work I do and treat every project like it’s my own. At the end of the day, my goal is to deliver solid results that people can trust and feel good about.
Our Story
Long before I officially started this company, I was already immersed in the world of heavy equipment. Growing up around it, I developed a strong passion at a young age and was always drawn to the work. What started as helping out around the yard with a rake in my hands eventually turned into learning how to operate machines like track loaders, gaining real hands-on experience along the way.
As I got older, I continued building on that experience by working for several companies in the concrete, excavation, and demolition industries. Each opportunity taught me something new, helped me sharpen my skills, and strengthened my goal of eventually running a company of my own.
In 2024, I decided to take that step. I purchased my first mini excavator and began taking on small jobs in the community. I focused on working hard, doing things the right way, and delivering quality results. From there, things began to grow and lead to bigger opportunities.
I’m excited for what’s ahead and look forward to continuing to build strong foundations, not just through my work, but in the relationships I build with the people I serve.
